On-Site Health Clinics

Access to immunizations, flu shots, physicals, and general medical care has never been more convenient. Parents do not have to miss work and students do not have to miss valuable class time. Transportation is available to students to get them to the nearest Wellness Center if they attend a school that does not have one attached. Some of the services provided at the clinics include:

  • Non-emergency care visits - care for illness and injury

  • Basic lab tests (strep, flu, blood, etc...)

  • Wellness checks, Sports Physicals, and Comprehensive Annual Exams

  • Immunizations for children who have ArKids or are uninsured

  • Follow up visits and referrals to specialty providers

  • Transportation is available for all students and their parents/guardians

The Wellness Centers do not provide emergency services.

Powered by the Community Clinics, The Wellness Centers provide care to  everyone- students and families of the Springdale Schools and well as members of the community. And through a partnership with Ozark Guidance, individuals and families can receive mental health services at the Wellness Centers as well.

What are The Wellness Centers at Elmdale, George, Jones, and Parson Hills Elementary Schools?

They are health clinics located at each school building. Springdale Public Schools in partnership with Community Clinic NWA provides medical clinics at the four schools. The clinics serve ALL of Springdale Public Schools. They provide quality medical care. Some of the services provided at the clinics include:

Who can use The Wellness Centers at Elmdale, George, Jones, and Parson Hills Elementary Schools?

All Springdale Public School students, staff, and their family members are welcome at any of the wellness centers. Community members may also use the centers.

How do I enroll myself or a child at The Wellness Centers?

What about insurance and payment options?

Medicaid, Medicare, and most private insurance plans are accepted. We will file with your insurance, however, a co-pay may be requested. A sliding scale fee discount is available for patients who qualify based on income.

No child will be turned away because a family cannot pay. If you need assistance with applying for health care coverage, including Medicaid/ArKids, please contact an Enrollment Specialist at Community Clinic for an appointment at 479-256-5080 ext. 6145. The staff at the Wellness Centers can also assist with Medicaid applications.

How do I schedule transportation?

The nurse in your child’s school can help you schedule an appointment. If you need transportation to your appointment, your school nurse or the staff at the wellness center can get that arranged for you. Transportation is not limited to medical appointments at the Wellness Centers. Transportation may be available for students who are going to the dentist, eye doctor, and other medical appointments. Please contact your school nurse for more information.
