Wow! Springdale Public Schools earned $629,700 for academic achievement and academic growth from the Arkansas School Recognition Program. Young and Hunt Elementary were in the top five percent of schools in the state in academic achievement and academic growth. Young received $117,200 and Hunt received $113,400. Tyson Middle School ($71,700), George Elementary ($56,400), Tyson Elementary ($54,000) and Harp Elementary ($47,900) were among the top five percent in academic growth. Walker Elementary also was in the top five of academic growth and the top 6-10 percent in overall achievement. Walker received $78,050. Monitor Elementary ($33,650), Childers-Knapp Elementary ($33,600) and Lee Elementary ($23,700) were in the top 6-10 percent in academic growth. Each school has a committee to determine how the funds will be used. Amazing academic achievement and academic growth, among the reasons Springdale Public Schools are #THEChoice.
